Summer Camps

Rising Grades K - 12
Registration starting February!

Morning Session 9am-12pm: $200
Deposit: $100 (due on registration)
Afternoon Session 12pm-4pm: $85
Deposit: $42.50 (due on registration)
Remainder Payment: Due 1 month prior to first day of camp

Campers have the option to register for both the morning and afternoon sessions to enjoy a full day of camp!

Early Drop Off and Late Pick Up are available for $50 per week each. Sign up below.

Our circus & dance camps are recreational, no experience is required. Campers will have instruction in dance, acrobatics, and aerial dance.  The exact dance and circus disciplines that your child does will depend on the faculty for the camp.  We offer the following disciplines for camps: 

Contemporary Dance
Creative Movement
Jazz
Breakdancing
Hip-hop
Aerial Silks
Trapeze
Basic Tumbling
Juggling

Morning session will be focusing on circus and dance disciplines from 9am-12pm. Pick up at 12pm. Late pick up at 1pm.

Afternoon session will be focusing on arts & crafts, story times (ages 6-8), open practice time (ages 9+) and games. Pick up at 4pm. Late pick up at 5pm.

There will be a short show and tell performance on the last day of camp in the theme of the camp where campers can show what they have learned and you can snap a few photos.

Camp Information Details

  • Expectations

    • We want to make sure all students have a fun experience.  We expect students to follow instructions of the teachers and treat other students with respect.   In addition, we expect participants to exhibit self-control, be nice to others, and follow simple instructions.  They are also expected to participate in all activities to the best of their ability.

      • If you do not fulfill this expectation, you will be asked to take responsibility for your actions.  Depending on the severity of the situation, students may be asked to leave camp for the remainder of time.

    • In the event your camper is unwell, please do not send them to camp that day.  If a camper becomes unwell at camp, we will contact parents to come pick up.

    • ​Electronics (tablets, phones, etc.) can be brought in to use during lunch time. Other times they will stay in bags in the lobby.

  • Where Are We Located?

    • 9315 Monroe Rd (Suite E)

    • Located in Southeast Charlotte near Matthews on Monroe Rd in Greylin Business Park near Sardis Road North, in between the Culinary School of Charlotte and Hunter Coatings Paint Store Look for the CC&Co and Charlotte Cirque & Dance Center signs

  • Lunch

    • Be sure to send a healthy lunch, 2 healthy snacks, a refillable water bottle, and hand sanitizer.

  • Pick Up/Drop Off

    • Drop Off at the Front Door
      Charlotte Cirque & Dance Center
      9315-E Monroe Rd.

    • Please come in and sign in your student.

    • Pick Up at Front Door - make sure a staff member signs them out

    • Early Drop Off and Late Pick Up are 1 hour before and 1 hour after camp times - there is a $50 per week fee for each.

  • Medication/Special Needs

    • If medication is being sent with your child, please provide clearly written instructions for dispensing and in the original container.

    • If there is anything that you would like us to know about your child/children such as allergies or behavior, please email us prior to the camp start date so our staff can be aware.

  • What to Wear & How to Do Your Hair​

​

Dos

  • Wear a fitted shirt or leotard (shirts must be tucked in)

  • Wear leggings or tights that reach the ankles

  • Wear clothes you can move in freely

  • Wear proper dance shoes for class if applicable

  • Keep hair secured out the the face

  • Keep nails neat and trimmed.​

​

Don'ts

  • Wear baggy clothes

  • Wear shorts

  • Wear jewelry

  • Let your hair hang in your face

  • No zippers, buttons, or Velcro as it can damage equipment

​

  • Best Options: Leggings that go to the ankle, leotards

​

Class Specific Dress:

  • German Wheel

    • Rubber soled, closed-toe shoes like Vans - not bulky sneakers please

  • Ballet

    • Ballet Tights that match skin tone

    • Split-Sole Ballet Shoes (Canvas Preferred)

    • Male students - dance belt, dance trunks

  • Hip-Hop/Breakdancing

    • Bring sneakers

  • ​Refund/Cancellation Policy

    • 2+ Weeks Notice: Full Refund of Tuition

    • Less than 2 Weeks Notice: 25% Refund of Tuition

    • During Camp: No refund.

    • Once you cancel, someone else might take your child’s space who is on the waitlist.

​

  • Performance

    • There will be a performance on the last day of camp, family and friends are welcome.
